Kyler Phillips and Song Yadong booked for UFC 259
Kyler Phillips and Song Yadong are two streaking bantamweight contenders on winning streaks. Now on March 6 one of their winnings will come to an end as the two are agreed to fight at UFC 259. BloodyCanvas.net was first to report the news of the upcoming bout.
Philips (8-1) is an alum of both Dana White’s Contender Series and The Ultimate Fighter. Right now Phillips is on a three fight winning streak and his only two UFC fights fights which both took place in 2020. Philips finished Cameron Else in his last outing in October and he spoke to MyMMANews following the victory.
Yadong (16-4-1) is 5-0-1 since joining the UFC in 2017. In his only fight of 2020, Yadong picked up a controversial unanimous decision win over Marlon Vera.
UFC 259 current has three title fights booked for the card including an epic main event with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya moving up to light heavyweight to challenge for the a second title against Jan Blachowicz. The full list of fight taking place that night are listed below:
