Cody Brundage doesn’t plan on fighting again until the Fall, confident he’ll be re-signed by the UFC

Interview with Cody Brundage below

Cody Brundage (11-6) recaps his first round TKO victory over Julian Marquez (9-6) at UFC Vegas 103 on March 1st. Cody also spoke about his friendship with Marquez prior to the fight, his confidence level re-signing with the UFC and why he’s not in a rush to compete again.

“I don’t think I’ll get a new contract until I get a fight. I don’t plan on fighting until end of third quarter, early fourth quarter. There will be some time there. I got to take three-four weeks for my face. Anthony Smith has a big fight coming up, I’ll be out there with him. I’ll be back in the gym helping my team. I’m just not going to put out there to fight four-five times a year. It was cool when I was doing it. It got me some more contracts and money; I don’t regret it. But I just got burnt out with it. I think it was tough to be successful, and I’m not going to go back and repeat that.”
