Ailin Perez: Top Latin American women’s bantamweight signs with UFC

Women’s bantamweight prospect, Ailin Perez, has signed a multi-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

All in Sports Management announced the recent addition to the UFC roster yesterday via Instagram, as did Perez herself.

“Fiona” Perez holds a professional record of 7-1-0, with 5 of those victories coming by way of stoppage. Fighting out of Argentina, she has climbed the ranks in the regional circuits of Latin America.

According to Tapology, Perez is ranked at #2 (pound-for-pound) out of Argentina women’s bantamweights. In Latin America, Perez is ranked #4 (pound-for-pound) and in Brazil, she sits at #11.

During her professional career, she has fought under promotions such as ULLAMP, CFU, and NFC. Last year, she joined the Samurai Fight House roster and has fought her last four bouts under that banner.

In the summer of 2021, she defeated Alessandra Tainara via a first-round knockout. Just three months later, she suffered her first defeat after losing her bout with Tamires Vidal due to an illegal knee. In her last two, she defeated Romina Aguirre and Stephanie Bragayraac via early stoppage.

Following her victory at SFH 4, Perez was crowned the SFH women’s bantamweight champion, and just a week later, she signed her multi-fight deal with the world’s largest MMA promotion.

There is no set debut for the 27-year-old, however, we will let you know here at MyMMANews when there is.

We look forward to seeing what Perez can do in the UFC and congratulate her on the great accomplishment.

Are there any matchups you would like to see for Perez’s debut?
