“Fight Gone BRad”…. Brad Daddis going to feel the love from the MMA community as he battles CTE

Fight Gone Brad, Brad Daddis

Brad Daddis is one of the pioneers or the current mixed martial arts surge in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There are numerous training facilities throughout the area who have some type of affiliation. His coaching tree continues to grow and contribute to the MMA community.

Daddis is a retired MMA fighter and a former Pan American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competitor. Brad’s first Muay Thai Kru (Instructor) Certification was from Fairtex Muay Thai in 2002. Brad is one of the few U.S. instructors certified by the legacy Fairtex Muay Thai Combat Sports Camp under the late Alex Gong, Jongsanan Fairtex, Enn Fairtex, Bunkerd Fairtex and Dr. Knee, Ganyao Fairtex. He is also the only Fairtex Certified Muay Thai Kickboxing instructor in region. Brad is a San Shou Kickboxing Champion as well. He is a proud Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Jared Weiner.

Brad began martial arts training at the age of 5 and received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do by the age of 15. Since the age of 15, Brad trained in just about every traditional martial art imaginable…from Judo to Aikido, Karate to Krav Maga, he’s had a taste of it all. He’s helped many.

Now is the time that Daddis needs help, as he suffers with CTE which has affected Brad and his family in many ways.  The mixed martial arts community in this region is a tight knit group and they pull together when one of their own is hurting.  I stopped up to Beacon Mixed Martial Arts in Cherry Hill, NJ to talk to Bob Peach who is one of the the organizers of ” Fight Gone Brad” .  This event is a fundraiser to help the Daddis family with medical bills and struggles.  They are having an MMA seminar with a huge contingent of black belts in attendance, a crossfit session, followed by a Beer-B-Cue with an auction and food.

Please listen to Bob’s whole interview below.  He gives a detailed list of the event and talks about his mentor and great friend, Brad Daddis.  We also talk about Beacon Mixed Martial Arts which was full of children on the mats which is always a pleasure to see.  It’s a thriving school that also has a certified CrossFit crossover.

From the lowest level, to the highest, he only cares about the two warriors who do battle once the cage doors close. Everything else is secondary. Without their blood, sweat, and tears, he would not be here enjoying every minute.
