Karate Combat Season Two’s First Title Fight : Brown vs Quayhagen

Karate Combat is bringing their first title fight of Season Two to fight fans to close out the weekend with a fight between Josh “The Preacher” Quayhagen and Jerome Brown. For those following along, Brown won on the first event but did not escape unscathed after a brief bout with Rhabdo and has since recovered to step up for his title shot for this season.

The title fight, scheduled for five rounds is one that Karate Combat commentator  Josh Palmer said is sure to be “ a lot of fun, I think it’s going to be a cracker.” Quayhagen, who will be representing his style of American Karate has been well acclimated to the rules of Karate Combat, and fighting for a title against the likes of someone like Brown means Palmer is likely not far off in his description of the event.

The other fight on the card serving as the co-main event will have two Shotokan fighters face one another. Bryan van Waesberghe versus Lahad Cisse. Interestingly enough, in a press release from Karate Combat, President Adam Kovacs said, “Lahad has fought well, with one loss but some good experience in the pit. His brother is another Karate Combat star Elhadji “Black Magic” N’Dour who has no doubt given him plenty of wisdom.” It should make for an interesting match up where similar styles measure against fighters with experience in “the pit”.

Fight Card:

Title fight: Jerome “The Brown Bear” Brown (3-0) (UK) vs. Joshua “The Preacher” Quayhagen (3-1) (USA)

Bryan van Waesberghe “The Rampage” (0-0) (Belgium) vs. Lahad “Black Lion” Cisse (Senegal)

Be sure and check out the title fight tonight on Karate Combat’s YouTube channel or tune in right here on MyMMANews. Check out Karate.com to see their full roster of fighters and past events.
