Cage Titans FC 45 fight card set for Saturday night in Plymouth
Cage Titans Fighting Championship returns this Saturday, August 24 with Cage Titans FC 45. The event which will be broadcast live on FloCombat.com will be held at the Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
On the card, New England Fights bantamweight champion Kam Arnold will meet Jeff Joy, the Cage Titans FC champ. Joy is ranked #1 and #2 respectively in all of New England. Both fighters are undefeated as Joy holds on to three straight victories, while Arnold carries five into the fight. According to Cage Titans FC officials, this contest settles the score on who is hands-down the best in New England.
Former amateur stand-outs and champions continuing to cut their teeth in the pro ranks Jacobo Apito (Former 125lb and 135lb Cage Titans Ammy Champ) and Mitch Raposo (Former undefeated 125lb Cage Titans Ammy Champ) both look to make it a perfect two for two and improve their records to 2-0 as pros.
Raposo told MyMMANews: “I’m going to be too explosive, too fast, and I have way too many weapons for this guy. He isn’t going to know where he’s getting hit from, and on the ground I don’t think many people can hang with my top game. It’ll be a finish, either on the feet or on the ground.”
Others notable bouts include: Marty Navis looking to improve to 3-0, Pat Gilbride looking to go 2-0 and Lauzon MMA product Connor Matthews making his pro debut after completing his military service with the U.S. Airforce.
Ultimate Fighter Finalist Joe Giannetti looks to rebound after suffering his first professional lost on the regional scene. He takes on a familiar opponent in Keenan Raymond, who just so happens to be the last opponent Joe faced before going on to TUF. Keenan dominated the first round of their first fight but Joe pulled out a slick sub in the second round for the win.
