LFA 91’s Hailey Cowan taking patient approach to UFC call

Interview with Hailey Cowan above – Check it out

Hailey Cowan (5-1) discusses her bantamweight fight against Kelly Clayton (1-2) this Friday at LFA 91.  Hailey also talks about why she’s not interested in fighting on DWCS, what type of training camp she’s had leading into this fight and competing in her second fight at bantamweight.  The 28-year-old expanded on why she’s not interested in fighting on DWCS and would rather fight out her LFA contract towards a UFC call up.

“I need cage time and that’s been the issue, not exposure,” Cowan said regarding DWCS. “I want to finish out this contract out with LFA and look at my options. Luckily for me, the women’s divisions are still shallow because they’re still so new. I think with a good record, hopefully, I’ll be able to just make a big enough name for myself to be able to bypass that. There aren’t a lot of 135ers out there.”
