Jose Canseco challenges A-Rod to MMA fight, accuses him of cheating on JLo
It is a fight that will never happen, at least not in sanctioned form anyway, but former professional baseball player Jose Canseco has challenged Alex Rodriguez to an MMA fight.
The tweet sent out Sunday night reads, “Alex Rodriguez, I challenge you to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want.”

The series of tweets are part a claim stating that A-Rod has been having an affair with Canseco’s ex-wife, Jessica. The two were married from 1996 to 1999. Rodriguez and pop star Jennifer Lopez announced their engagement over the weekend.
“Watching World of Dance watching JLo text Alex Rodriguez little does she know that he is cheating on her with my ex-wife Jessica poor girl she has no idea who he really is.”

Canseco admitted using performance-enhancing drugs during his playing career, and in 2005 wrote a tell-all book, Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big, in which he claimed that the vast majority of MLB players use steroids.
Canseco does have one MMA bout under his belt, having fought Hong Man Choi at Dream 9 in May 2009. The fight lasted 77-seconds before Choi was declared the victor due to strikes.
He also competed several boxing bouts and claims to hold black belts in karate and taekwondo, and to practice Muay Thai, as well as describing himself as “an expert with nunchakus”.
