St. Louis, MO. – Shamrock FC has released its schedule of events for the 2016 calendar year. Beginning on January 16 at The Ameristar Casino, Shamrock FC Assault will be the first of a total of 22 events Shamrock FC will promote this year. All of the cards will air via stream on Go Live Sports Cast, an online and IPTV destination for internet broadcast sports, including mixed martial arts.
For those fans who enjoy watching the Shamrock FC events from home, they will still have to visit the promotions website (www.shamrockfc.com) and will then be directed to the stream hosted by Go Live Sports Cast. 2016 will mark the first full year in which the Shamrock champions will be eligible for a multi-fight Bellator contract once they have successfully defended their title.
November will be the promotions busiest month for Shamrock FC as they will hold four events including one at The Scottrade Center in St. Louis. All told, Shamrock FC will promote 18 mixed martial arts cards and four cards comprised of MMA, Boxing and Kickboxing. The bouts for the four mixed cards will be held inside of a ring.
“2016 promises to be the biggest year in the 17 year history of Shamrock Promotions,” said CEO Jesse Finney. “As we continue to grow, our promise will stay the same and that is to give our fans a great fight night experience from start to finish. Shamrock FC is currently negotiating with a few casinos to add an additional 4-8 shows to the already great line-up of venues who host our events. When the time is right, we are also going to seek a national television deal. We are elated to be partnering with Go Live Sports Cast as their reputation speaks for itself when it comes to streaming live sporting events. When you add this agreement to the deal we made with Time Warner Sports to air our cards on tape delay, one week after the live event, I feel like it’s all coming together at the right time for Shamrock FC.”
Once again Shamrock FC will also organize the MMA portion of Guns and Hoses, the St. Louis area’s top fundraiser for families of fallen first responders. In 2015 the event raised an astounding $340,000 for The Backstoppers Inc. An annual event that takes place on Thanksgiving eve for the past 27 years, Guns and Hoses will be held at the Scottrade Center.
Shamrock FC will promote eight events at Lumiere Casino, six events at Ameristar Casino and four at River City Casino. There will also be two cards at the Scottrade Center in November.
