Wanderlei Silva to Appear Before NSAC for running from drug test
The Axe Murderer has some explaining to do on why he refused to take a surprise drug test by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). Silva (35-12-1, 1 NC) allegedly ran out the back door of his gym and took off when NSAC executive director Bob Bennett and a specimen collector arrived to Silva’s gym for a surprise drug test.
Silva claimed that his lawyer was not available, and since his English is very limited, he could not understand what the NSAC wanted to sign and do, so he left to attend other business. These actions seem very unfavorable towards the 37-year old’s career, and on June 17 Silva will have his chance to testify and explain his actions.
Between Silva allegedly bailing on a drug test and Chael Sonnen failing his second drug test in his mma career, UFC 175 is taking many heavy hits on what was scheduled to be an epic battle between two fighters who truly had animosity towards each other.
