Zach Krapf bringing “really unique style” at CFS 3
Beginning his venture into MMA a little over a year and a half ago, Zach Krapf is approaching his 7th bout and has compiled an amateur record of 4-2 thus far in his young career and is looking for his next big win in just a few days at the hands of Rob Shermer. Come fight night, “Hapa Hulk” Krapf have the eyes of some of the UFC’s elite as he takes place in the 155lb tournament semi finals at Cowboy Fight Series in Sterling, Virginia.
Krapf has amassed years of wrestling experience under his belt making the transition into MMA a fairly easy one. Stating, “I wanted to be the talk of the town”, discussing his love of the more flashy maneuvers and highlight reel finishes.
Always the entertainer while remaining focused on himself, Krapf prides himself and his success on his mental awareness inside the cage. “Every time I get hit, I really internalize why I got hit. I really think about, like,Why did this happen? How did I let this happen? And every time I land something, I’m like what did I do right here?
Confident and poised that he’ll make it to the finals bracket and return for December’s card, Krapf has his sites on the opposition at hand as he’s “Focusing on what I can do to him (Shermer).” Continuing with, “Not rely on his lack of skill, instead rely on my abilities.”
Krapf isn’t shy to reveal his accolades and source of confidence going into the CFS lightweight tournament. Listing: “I’m younger, I’m tougher, I’m meaner, I’m better looking, and I can just do things that they can’t!”
