Alex Kelly having fun while working hard in preparation for USKA Fight Sports match-up

Alex Kelly has a kickboxing fight against Tiger Schulmann’s Jenn Wang set for December 7th in Allentown, PA at Gary Grant Jr’s USKA Muay-Thai Takanakuy.  Kelly was all smiles when chatting about her training and her family at The Institute Muay-Thai Gym. Mike Burke has built a nice team and will be there in the corner for Alex.  She has a ton of confidence in his abilities to help her get a victory.

I always like to ask the female competitors about their family’s reaction to them getting in the ring to fight.  Alex tells me…

“I used to watch all of the UFC’s with my dad.  He has been a fan for a long time, but he doesn’t come to my fights.  I always try to get him the video because he can’t come and see me.  My siblings love to watch me fight, but him not so much.  After I show him the videos from my fight, he always wants to critique me and tells me I didn’t use my hook enough or whatever I may need to improve on.”

Alex also says although she doesn’t know much about her opponent, her team is very familiar with Tiger Schulmann’s and their style.  This will be her third sanctioned fight and she has also taken part in a few smokers.

MyMMANews will be on site for live results and a full recap.  The day starts with a Kyokushin Karate seminar in the morning and then into a USA Boxing/USKA amateir boxing card matched by Alex Barbosa.  The main course will be at 7pm with a full card of kickboxing and muay-thai. Gary Grant is quickly building USKA Fight Sport into the premier kickboxing/muay-thai promotion in the region with plans to expand to other states besides Pennsylvania.  He will host an event in Atlantic City, NJ in January.  Stay here for news and fight announcements.
