Alton Cunningham says “the timing was right” in drop back to 185-pounds against Tim Caron

Interview with Alton Cunningham below

Alton Cunningham (9-3) discusses his middleweight fight against Tim Caron (11-5, NC) at Combat Zone 77 on Aug. 5. Alton also spoke about losing his last fight, what type of training camp he’s had and his decision to move back down to 185-pounds for the first time since 2018.

“It’s a permanent move, it was something heavily on my mind. The timing was right, just coming off this last fight. This last fight I was coming in around 205-206lbs, so it just made sense to clean up the diet a bit. And just be a little bit more disciplined in that aspect. Which will just make me hungrier anyways. The timing was perfect for it.”
