Anthony Romero’s flying knee at Fury FC 60: KO of the Year Contender?

25-year-old Fury FC lightweight contender, Anthony Romero, made headlines this weekend following his bout at Fury FC 60 on Sunday.

The Canadian-born Taekwondo specialist improved his record to 11-1-0, with a spectacular flying knee knockout over Kenneth Glenn.

The flying knee which left Glenn with his back on the canvas and staring up at the lights came at 4:39 of the second round.

Check it out below:

Following the KO, it is likely that some of the bigger promotions will be looking at the young talent. Romero had already introduced himself to the UFC by way of Dana White’s Contender Series in which he defeated Mike Breeden via unanimous decision. Though not gaining a contract, he has gone 3-1 since competing in the LFA and Fury FC

With such beautiful execution and timing, the KO also might just be a top contender for the knockout of the year, or at least the knee of the year.

Where would you like to see Romero go? UFC, Bellator, ONE, PFL? And is this in your KO of the year conversation?
