Interview with Cheyanne Buys above – Check it out
Cheyanne Buys (5-1) recaps her unanimous decision victory over Hilarie Rose (4-2) where she earned a UFC contract on Contender Series. Cheyanne also talks about the injury she suffered in training camp, her long journey to the UFC and training at Fortis MMA. Cheyanne spoke about overcoming adversity with an injury and still pulling off the win on Aug. 18.
“I had a really bad injury I suffered in this fight camp. I have a MRI on Tuesday so once we talk to the doctor to see how the MRI looks we can go from there. Obviously (the UFC) wanted to match me right away. But one I’m suspended by the doctors by 180 days or until I get cleared before then. I just need to figure out some injuries and heal up. Then I’ll be right back in there. But I’m definitely going to fight before the end of the year.”
