Chris Daukaus previews his UFC Vegas 45 main event against Derrick Lewis

Chris Daukaus has had four fights in the UFC and all four times he’s secured a knockout victory.

Now after an impressive start to his UFC career, the former Philadelphia police officer has found himself in a fantastic position.

Daukaus will fight in the main event of UFC Vegas 45, which is the last UFC event of 2021. His opponent will be none other than two-time title challenger and fan favorite Derrick Lewis.

Both men come into the fight ranked high in the heavyweight division as according to the official UFC heavyweight rankings, Lewis is ranked No. 3 and Daukaus is ranked No. 7.

While Daukaus is fully aware of this amazing opportunity and how a win puts himself into title contention alongside Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones, Daukaus knows he has to fight smart in order to get a win and get his name into that conversation.

Prior to his UFC Vegas 45 main event fight with Lewis, Daukaus talked with MyMMANews about the matchup and the landscape of the heavyweight division. Aside from talking about the fight, he also talked about the recent success of his teammates in Philadelphia and supporting the regional shows in Philadelphia.
