Salahdine Parnasse shuts down UFC interest, happy with KSW

Salahdine Parnasse is one of France’s most exciting mixed martial arts prospects. Currently KSW’s featherweight champion, the Frenchman has naturally garnered a lot of attentions as one of the promotions biggest stars.

As with every exciting young fighter outside of the UFC, questions exist on when the UFC will come calling and pick up France’s next big thing. Not so fast in this case, speaking with MyMMANews, Parnasse and his team made it clear that KSW is his home and where he’s happy.
“We have been in contact with the UFC and we made the choice to stay with KSW,” Parnasse told MyMMANews. “We were well received by them. There were some interesting offers for us and for now we’re with KSW. Let’s see in 18 months how things look.”
KSW is the most exciting promotion in Europe and some would even say the most exciting in the world. They’ve built up many talents that have benefited from their huge fanbase. Parnasse is one of them. It’s clear that the champion has found the path to stardom and the promotion plans on keeping him on an upwards trajectory.
It’s exactly why the Frenchman doesn’t see himself signing with another promotion. KSW has built him up to be a star while signing for a different promotion could see him fall under the radar or fail to continue building him as a marquee name.
“With KSW we’re at the top of the mountain and they really want to create a star,” Parnasse said. “With the UFC I would probably be just another fighter.”
