Congratulations are in order as ‘The California Kid’ Urijah Faber is the first to be name as inductee for the 2017 class of the UFC Hall of Fame.
The announcement that the recently retired mixed martial artist would make the Hall came during the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 210 broadcast.
Faber, who retired in December 2016 will be inducted into the ‘Modern Era’ wing in July, part of International Fight week.
Faber, 37 years old, amassed a 34-10 professional record and gained international notoriety as the former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) featherweight champion.
