WWE To BKFC: Bare Knuckle promotion interested in signing newly released pro wrestlers
Bare Knuckle FC has expressed interest in signing any of the six released WWE fighters that were axed in the last cut. BKFC president, Dave Feldman, has told MyMMANews.com that signing the professional wrestlers would be a great addition to their roster of fighters.
Feldman says, “Several great stars from WWE and other major league wrestling organizations have found success in combat sports. We think it’s time we get into that business. ”
Coming through today, WWE released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Murphy, Lana, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. The most notable, Strowman, is the former universal and intercontinental champion for the WWE. With the six looking for a new place to call home, Bare Knuckle FC has the rabid fans that could give the former professional wrestlers what they are seeking, as well as a fair pay day.
BKFC’s Growing Success and the WWE
Having it’s third birthday today, Bare Knuckle FC has enjoyed much success and landed some major splash signings. With Paige VanZant, Rachael Ostavich, and Paulie Malignaggi, Bare Knuckle FC has made waves, creating a sport that is the fastest growing in the world. Adding any of these WWE stars would boost the eyeballs on BKFC as a whole.
The WWE does well getting talent from other sports. Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Kurt Angle and more were all former athletes that transitioned over to professional wrestling. Braun Strowman was a former strongman competitor. The transition over to boxing, even bare knuckle, is something that isn’t so farfetched with these athletes to transition over.
Bare Knuckle FC continues to make waves in the combat sports world. With the promotion recently offering a pension program for their athletes, big signings, or even simply getting bare knuckle boxing legalized in the United States, BKFC and president Dave Feldman continue to stake their claim in the combat sports world.
