Zak Kelly talks controversial Art of War Cage Fighting main event
Tonight Zak Kelly moved to 4-0 as a professional after a second round submission over Ryan DiBartolomeo at Art of War Cage Fighting 3.
There was a question as to whether referee Jimmy Chappell stopped the fight or not, but Kelly let go of his opponent and celebrated in victory. That’s when Greg Sirb, executive director of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, argued that the fight was stopped too early, so the action restarted. The fight restarted and Kelly earned a second win.
Does that mean he is 2-0 tonight?
Kelly caught up with MyMMANews reporter and Art of War Cage Fighting commentator Bob Meloni to discuss the controversial decision. Usually a referee’s decision is upheld and is the written law of the land, however in this instance, the state’s athletic commissioner had the upper hand.
