Jake Kozorosky successful at KOTC: Capital Punishment
Jake Kozorosky took on Josh Jackson at King of the Cage: Capital Punishment on September 7th at the Pennsylvania Farm Shoe Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA in what was an explosive matchup as long as it lasted. Both fighters wasted little time technically exchanging on the feet with Kozorosky taking the edge early. The floor hit the mat, and it was transition to transition until Kozorosky saw an opportunity to finish the fight early. A slight opening to take Jacksons arm was all he needed to run away with the fight. At 2:38 into the very first stanza Kozorosky seized his moment in the main event of the evening, winning via armbar submission.
Kozorosky was kind enough to speak with MyMMANews’ just ten minutes after the bout concluded to give his fresh vantage point of how the evening went through his perspective.
“He’s a really respectable sportsman,” Kozorosky said first and foremost about Jackson. While discussing the pressures going into the contest between pre-fight banter to size differential, Kozorosky says, “I knew he was going to be a little bigger than me, and more than likely have some of that explosive power that I may not naturally have. Being a natural lightweight when he’s normally welter(weight).”
“I was able to implement the majority of what I wanted to get done tonight” Kozorosky says with a humble stamp of approval. While he doesn’t have any immediate plans when he steps back into the cage, Kozorosky closes with how fans can keep in touch with him via social media for any news concerning his fights.
