Stephan Burden: “Coming out with the win and two belts”
Baltimore’s Stephan Burden is looking to bank big on the opportunity to become a “champ-champ” in one fight on one night. That’s right! The good old fashioned 2-for-1 deal as Stellar Fights and the WKA National Tournament are combining forces and title opportunities this Saturday, August 17th at Stellar Fights 34 which takes place at the Delaware State Fair Grounds in Harrington Delaware. This will be a first for the Delaware promotion as the designated winner of this bout will not only win the Stellar Fights lightweight championship belt, but will also be awarded the WKA National lightweight championship bout, which includes the opportunity to fight in the WKA world tournament later this year. A deal not many fighters will pass up.
Standing across from him on the night will be Brandon Johnson out of Baltimore Martial Arts. Johnson brings the cage experience to the bout with significantly more MMA bouts on his resume to Burdens (10 fights to 1). However, Burden has a total of 14 fights to his resume in the kickboxing ring, so both fighters bring their respected differences to the main event of Stellar Fights 43.
Tune in as I chat with Stephan Burden before his main event lightweight Stellar Fights/WKA national title bout, just a few days away in the ‘First State’!
