UFC Gym opens in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

A new UFC Gym location has opened in what many may think of as an extremely unlikely location in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. While thoughts of the Amish, riding their horse and buggy may be the first thing that come to mind when someone mentions the word “Lancaster,” the town is actually a hotbed for mixed martial arts.

In recent years, MMA promotions such as Art of War Cage Fighting and World Cagefighting Championships have packed venues in one of the oldest inland towns in the United States.

The UFC Gym’s new 18,000-square-foot opened at 1160 Park City Center was constructed in late 2019 and held it’s soft opening just this week.

UFC Gym has individual and group classes and programs that include boxing and kickboxing as well as Brazilian jiu jitsu. There is also standard gym equipment such as ellipticals, bikes and treadmills.

Take advantage of the opportunity to step into the Octagon, roll on the mats and hit the bags in a large bag room. Beat the boredom with access to numerous fitness classes, specialty equipment, weight and cardio rooms, and more.

Based in California, UFC Gym has more than 100 U.S. locations, including one in Exton, Chester County.

The franchise owners of the Lancaster gym are Steeve Dumerve and Jay Gerdes, both of York.
